House of Annetta is a home for spatial justice, building infrastructure for movements (meeting space, loud speakers and megaphones, trestle tables and folding chairs trade unions, community health, recovery groups, workers cooperatives, prisoner solidarity) & radical imagination (knowledges for collective survival, non-capitalist forms of relation, cultivating interdependence, food re-distribution, repair and maintenance, feminist publishing, peer-to-peer learning). We house the living cybernetic archive of Annetta Pedretti and a cat named cat.
Many individuals, groups and communities rely on HoA for meeting, hosting, working, growing their campaigns and projects. House of Annetta is a non-institutional space made through love, organising & reproductive labour. Reproductive labour is the essential, often unpaid or underpaid work needed to sustain human life and reproduce society.
We are cooking, tidying, cleaning, negotiating a long term lease focused on more-than financial exchange, repairing the building, working towards full accessiblity, stewarding learning programs, supporting neighbours and doing emotional carework. House of Annetta is part of a web of spaces for learning, healing and organising embedded in neighbourhoods and land around the world.
Let’s build financial systems which make alternatives possible, stronger community resources despite hostile state priorities and independence from precarious cycles of grant funding!
